Privacy

Your privacy is important. I do not track your visits to this site, store your information for any purpose other than to communicate with you about questions or suggestions you have, services you have requested, and to send notifications to subscribers.  I will never sell your personal information nor share it with another company.

To help support the cost of access to databases and the purchase of documents needed in my research on individuals, areas, and families in order to bring them to life as narrative contributions to the genealogy and historical communities through this blog, I use affiliate links for some companies and services that I use or have used and personally recommend. These links provide a small commission if you purchase a product after being referred by The Genealogy Freak.  These companies include Newspapers.com, One Great Family, Ancestry, and Pictures on Gold. These companies have their own privacy policies which are in effect the moment you leave The Genealogy Freak and enter those sites.  I suggest to the visitors of The Genealogy Freak to take a look at each website's privacy policy in order to understand the risk of their personal information while interacting with those sites.

All opinions expressed here are my own unless directly stated otherwise. I am not paid by any company to endorse or promote a product. I occasionally receive free samples for review. If I do review the item, I will disclose that it was a gift from a marketing department.

Disclaimer

The Genealogy Freak (including the web site, the blog, the mailing list, and all related social media accounts) contains banner advertisements and some text links that point to commercial enterprises via an affiliate relationship. Affiliate links pay me a commission if you purchase through them.  The cost of the products you purchase are the same unless otherwise stated to lead to a discount or bonus. Every effort is made to identify pay-for-use commercial web sites as such within link descriptions.
